HOLLYWOOD: Lindsay Lohan tries her big Hollywood comeback with a new reality show on MTV. And a German actress helps her. Sara Dastjani plays a key role – literally – in the current episode of “Lindsay Lohan’s Beachclub”.
Dastjani came to Los Angeles five years ago from her adopted home Berlin to fulfill her dream of an acting career:
I already had acting lessons in Germany. I’ve appeared in music videos and have had various gigs on TV. Then my management in Berlin suggested going to LA with a TV show concept.
She quickly realized that everything is not so easy in the film metropolis and decided to study acting at the world-famous Stella Adler Academy.
The plan worked: “I quickly found a new management team and an agent and then also got an artist visa.”
The night life was a great temptation for Sara Dastjani
The biggest challenge, however: not to let the temptations of Hollywood put you off your career path.
“At first you are attracted to nightlife, everything is so new and exciting. All of a sudden I was partying with celebrities like Rihanna, Drake and Leonardo DiCaprio. “
But Dastjani quickly realized the danger of the party lifestyle: “You waste time. You are surrounded by people who are already where you want to go. And you can never do that if you don’t go through with it. ”
Sara Dastjani is a successful influencer
In addition to her acting career, the Stuttgart native built a second mainstay as an influencer. Almost 859k fans follow her on Instagram: “This is mainly how I earn my money.”
This is how people in Germany became aware of them. Dastjani: “Pro7 approached me to show my life here. I was on five different programs like ‘Taff’ and ‘Red’. ”
Her career is also taking off in Los Angeles. She has just shot a pilot episode for a comedy show on Netflix and has just signed a contract for a science fiction series in which she is supposed to play a leading role.

How the cooperation with Lohan came about: “MTV asked me if I would like to take part in an episode on Mykonos. They wanted me to be myself and act a bit like a diva. ”
What that meant in concrete terms: “You told me: ‘Spend 5000 euros and keep Lindsay’s workforce on their toes.’ I just said: ‘No problem’. ”

In the episode “Crossing Lindsay”, for example, viewers can smile at how Sara lets one of the waiters carry her across the beach so that her feet don’t get sandy. Apparently, two divas on set were one too many: “Actually, Lindsay was supposed to greet me in front of the camera. But this scene was canceled at short notice. “
No problem for Dastjani, because the great response to her performance could even be the prelude to her own big show. Because the producers of “Keeping Up With the Kardashian” were also there and “totally excited about me”.
